Hey CRG Family,

Brakes are a very important part of your car, don't wait until it's too late! If you are hearing a scraping, rubbing or a metallic sound when you hit the brakes, your car might need some attention! Pictured above is brake rotor, this spins with your wheel, and when you press on the brakes the caliper squeezes the brake pads together onto this rotor. As you can see in the picture above, the brake pads were wearing down into the rotor causing some scoring, and the vehicle needed new rotors and pads. These types of brakes are called disc brakes. They are always replaced per axle set because you do not want one side of your car to brake harder then the other. This could cause your car to pull to one side and be very dangerous especially in our lovely Ohio winters! If you have any questions or concerns about your vehicles braking system, don't hesistate to give us call at 330-907-4465!
